He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

On the night of Jan. 13, 2014, the witness spotlighted a distant field from home and saw red eye shine that reacted to the light. After retrieving a relative, the two drove to a pond with tall reeds about 300 yards away and again picked up eye shine high in the reeds. They watched the eyes blink and move low through a creek embankment from left to right, but could see no body because of distance. The witness recorded about a minute of phone video and estimated eye height the next day at 7.5 to 8 feet based on reed height.

The witness then saw a large grey shape move quickly and silently between cover, followed by a large splash near the dock. Late at night three companions pulled over by an overgrown archery field to look for deer and noticed green eyeshine wide apart just above tall grass. The source of the eyes stood upright to a great height, looked toward them, then walked into the adjoining woods. After leaving, they returned for a size comparison with a 6-foot companion walking toward the treeline while the others watched from the truck; the figure reappeared, stood up and towered over the companion before leaving into the woods again.

Two companions were driving at night in a doorless vehicle when they made a wrong turn onto a dead-end road. As they turned around, the passenger alerted the driver to eyeshine behind a large tree caught in the headlights. The driver then saw large eyes about six feet off the ground and a large brown shape behind the tree. Both were frightened and did not get a prolonged look.

He ran back to the cabin and stayed inside for the night.

After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

The witness was solo canoe-camping on a river and went to the water's edge after dinner. He heard splashes, saw a large rock fly through the air and land near him, then shined a light and saw eyes for about two seconds before they vanished. He fired a pistol with no response and left camp for home.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness and a companion were driving south from home around 1:30 a.m. when a tall, hairy creature ran north past the passenger side of their car. They turned around in a nearby lot but did not see it again. Later they found flattened grass in long strides, possible footprints up a hill, and hair caught on a fence wire.

The witness and a friend were maintaining a camp fire at night behind the friend's house near a wooded ravine. When the witness stepped toward the ravine to gather twigs, he saw a tall black form standing in tall weeds below and watched it move side to side before it looked up showing red eye reflection. After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.
