Possible paralleling described and tall figure seen at night south of Mt. Pleasant
A group walking back to a cottage late at night on a dirt road through dense woods heard something large paralleling them. They stopped and watched a very tall, light-colored illuminated figure moving in a small circle near a mailbox, heard a short powerful grunt, and then saw reddish eyes watching from the woods. The eyes retreated deeper, dropped low and disappeared while the group returned to the cottage.

While scouting for deer season the witness found a large woven vegetation igloo and crawled inside. On opening morning he sat 18 feet up in a climber when something came from that area straight to his tree, sniffed deeply below him for 25-30 seconds, then walked away on two legs.

The witness describes repeated activity over years living near woods in White River Township. The witness reports seeing part of a tall hair-covered figure peeking from brush, finding deer carcasses cached high in trees, stacked bone piles and dugout shelters, hearing breathing and strange calls, smelling musk, feeling watched, and being chased at night by a bipedal creature that halted near the road.
Possible ongoing activity outside Whittemore
The witness reports recurring nighttime activity over many years at her parents' wooded property. She and others hear footsteps pacing them along the tree line, loud crashing movement, screeching sounds and cracking noises, often accompanied by a strange smell. Family members and visitors have also reported red eyeshine and ape-like figures, and large footprints were found in snow. An investigator later visited, interviewed family members and noted unusual stick and vegetation features in the woods.
