Deer hunter sees tree shaking, then see the large shaker, outside Wilkesboro
The witness was deer hunting from a stand on wooded acreage in daylight when a tree was seen shaking violently. Looking through a scope, the witness saw a large black-haired creature with a cone-shaped head standing back in the woods swaying side to side for several seconds and noticed a wet-dog-like smell. The witness also reported a teepee-like stick structure and pictures of footprints.

Two people on a backpacking trip camped for the night and heard a long two-toned howl after midnight, followed by distant whoops over about two hours. The next day while hiking they found large deep human-like footprints crossing the trail at two gaps, with about five-foot stride, plus piled limbs in tree forks and overturned mushrooms nearby. They photographed the prints and noted a bloody stick but did not keep it.
Park Rangers and residents of Glendale Springs observe large footprints in deep snow
The witness claimed large foot-shaped tracks were found in deep snow around their home in Glendale Springs. The tracks were described as 12 to 16 inches long and spaced 5 to 6 feet apart, extending over a mile or more and appearing to cross a split-rail fence in one stride. More than ten residents and park rangers reportedly saw the tracks and photos were taken, while rangers suggested rabbits or small animals as an explanation.
Long trail of 13" long human-like footprints found in deep snow and rough terrain
The witness was backpacking alone on a steep, snow-covered trail when they found large bare human-like footprints heading the same direction for about a mile and a half. The witness initially dismissed them as a possible hoax and chose not to photograph them. Overnight rain melted the snow, and the footprints were gone by the descent the next day.
