Two companions scouting a conservation area spotted a large dark bipedal figure about 150 to 200 yards away on a trail. The figure crouched, swayed, then moved quickly to the right and disappeared. The men went to the spot and found a very large fresh footprint and freshly broken small trees.

The witness and a companion were asleep at home when they were awakened around midnight by a thump on a storage box beneath the bedroom window and sensations described as footsteps. The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. After a few months all regular wildlife stopped visiting, and motion cameras began triggering nightly around 10-11 with nothing visible but low growls and a distant siren-like scream that set dogs barking. They also found footprints with toe ridges, fresh tree breaks, bent and intertwined trees, and a semi-circular stacked-log structure of large broken trees behind the property.
