From about 200 feet away they heard growl-whoop-scream vocalizations and wood-on-wood thumps, followed later by pea gravel striking the truck. Trail cameras reportedly captured gravel in motion and a large black partial figure showing shoulder, arm and open hand.

They heard knocking sounds followed by loud screaming from two unseen sources in dense brush that seemed to move toward them. The witness was lying down to sleep at home in the early morning when a series of loud vocalizations was heard from nearby woods. The sounds included a distant deep call, loud siren-like screams, and chattering with tongue-clicking, while neighboring dogs barked during parts of the sequence. The sounds faded and returned as if the source moved deeper into the woods and back before leaving for the last time.

A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.

On August 24 at dusk the witness was preparing dinner at a forest-edge campsite when a very loud ascending swooping cry came from the hillside above, followed by several higher shrieks. She saw a large fur-covered creature on its knees drinking, which then stood up very tall and stepped over a stump. She ran screaming toward the trailer while the creature also screamed, and her companion heard it screaming and breaking trees as it moved away.

The witness and a friend were camping overnight at Forlorn Lakes when they heard loud screams from one side of the lake answered by several others, lasting 20-30 minutes. The witness made a short phone recording while the dog acted frightened. The next morning they found elk tracks apparently at a run and a large footprint, then left early.
