The couple and their teenage son followed a game trail and found a canopy-like structure of stems and leaves with a lay area and several trees broken over seven feet high. On the way back they repeatedly heard something walking with them that stopped when they stopped. From a field below they had small rocks land near them several times and left as it got dark.

A neighboring farmer told the guest that rocks would hit his barn roof while he worked inside. He later saw a creature standing on the hill across the pond and photographed it, also photographing a track line in snow with very long strides.
