During a nighttime stealth test flight between two desert airfields, two aircraft crews observed an unidentified object without navigation lights maneuvering above them and unable to be shaken. Fighter jets were scrambled and fired missiles that damaged the object, which landed in a remote test area where a second identical object briefly appeared. After a multi-day wait, a recovery team forced open the craft, found three seats and no conventional controls, and moved it to an underground facility.
Two Hikers Have Close Encounter Near Genoa
Two companions hiking a steep mountain trail stopped near a cabin and creek to rest and gather cones. They reported a tall hair-covered biped appearing very close across the creek, watching them, vocalizing, then moving uphill without slipping. The being paralleled them as they descended and was last seen crouching on a boulder near their vehicle.
Four feral dogs chase sasquatch
On a clear night in August 1972, the 12-year-old witness was reading late in his bedroom when feral dogs chased something into his backyard. He heard heavy bipedal footfalls, a violent impact against the house corner and window, a grunt, and then a short deep growl directed at the dogs, followed by silence. The intruder then fled over a cedar fence as the dogs pursued, leaving a strong foul odor. Next morning the witness found a flattened flowerbed and trellis, a toppled lumber stack, and a tuft of hair of uncertain origin on the fence.
