Loud vocalizations repeatedly disturb family
The witness, then a child, was sleeping in the family's A-frame when very loud, high-pitched screams from behind the house woke the household. The father fired a handgun from a loft window and later used a spotlight, hearing something move away upslope but never seeing the source. Similar late-night screams recurred several times over the following week, and daytime searches found broken small trees and a rotten-egg smell but no tracks or other samples. The family moved away within a month.
Recollection of a road crossing at dusk while working as an MP on Fort Lewis
While driving in a truck at twilight, the witness and a companion watched a large upright furry figure cross the road in a few long strides and disappear into the trees at the road edge. After stopping and getting out, they heard movement ahead in the woods, then a loud scream, and ran back to the truck while wailing continued behind them. They agreed they had encountered a bigfoot and returned the next day to find broken limbs but no footprints.

While hunting at dawn in the Nestor Peak area in fall 1982, the witness watched a smaller hairy biped notice him, scream and crouch to hide. A much larger similar animal then approached, touched the smaller one, and stared at the witness while breathing heavily, before the two walked uphill. A third slightly smaller animal joined them at the ridgetop and all three disappeared over the hill into the canyon.
25-50 Footprints found near Orting
The witness reports finding dozens of large five-toed footprints in wet, packed sand. Most were roughly boot-length but wider and over an inch deep, with a second deformed variant and a larger unclear print leading toward a cliff. The witness and a companion photographed the prints and the witness planned to cast them.

A couple camped overnight by a stream about three miles from the road. After dark they smelled a strong stench and heard grunting, hooting and stomping that seemed to surround their tent, but saw nothing when checking with a flashlight. They ran back to the road in the dark and found scuffle marks in the dirt when they returned in the morning.

In October 1970, a teenager watching television indoors glanced toward a large picture window and reported a tall grey hair-covered figure standing very close outside staring in. The figure remained motionless while staring directly, with massive arms, reddish glowing eyes, and visible breathing. After the witness fled to another room, the figure was gone.

The witness and a companion camped near a lake after the rest of their party failed to arrive. After hearing scream-like sounds earlier in the evening, the witness lay awake and watched a tall figure move behind a windbreak, squat to rummage through a pack, then stand and walk away. The witness woke the companion, who did not see the figure but both heard movement in the trees. In the morning the pack contents were scattered and only cookies were missing from their package.
Youths in Summer Camp have noisy nighttime experience
The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.

Over about two and a half years the guest visited a stump in woods near South Hill and left apples, sandwiches and objects. She found a decapitated bird placed on the trail, a rock on the stump, balanced rock stacks, and a small fence-like stick structure. She interpreted them as possible gifts in return.

Late at night in the same parked trailer, a rigged window that was held shut suddenly opened and slammed. A partner with a firearm went outside with a flashlight and saw nothing, while the witness heard heavy thumping footsteps like those heard earlier. Something struck the trailer hard enough to shake it and leave a large dent high on the curved aluminum.
Missing Cattle and large footprints found
Two brothers operating a cattle ranch reported losing 300-400 lb calves without trace each May through early July over three to four years, and noted cattle panicking at their approach from a distance. In the third year they found a freshly killed calf with its neck broken, no teeth or claw marks, and a deep parallel-sided bruise, which a vet and others examined. Three sets of large footprints and unknown feces containing smashed bone were also reported.
