The witness was hiking with an expedition group near an old building and went behind it to look for sign. About 50 yards away the witness saw a dark shape that resolved into a face with heavy brow, broad nose, dark hair and dark eyes that turned to the side and back before disappearing. Afterward the witness heard whistles and a low guttural sound, felt unwelcome and unwell, waited, then later sketched what was seen.

Two companions were hunting coyotes at night when one was paralleled in the woods by something that returned his whistles. After reuniting they drove toward the house and illuminated a tall shaggy biped in the field below the barn. Neither reported seeing anything.
