The witness was backing out of the driveway with family at dusk when headlights illuminated a tall, broad, grayish-blond creature standing about 40 yards away near an oak tree. The creature faced the witness with its arms at its sides. After the witness briefly looked away to alert a relative, the creature was gone.

The animal stood upright, revealing a very tall, broad, dark-brown hairy human-like form, and the driver got out and shouted at it. After turning around and losing sight of it, they saw a tall, dark reddish-brown shaggy upright figure cross the road ahead of them in two steps. The witness was hunting hogs from a tree stand at sunrise when he watched a large hairy biped stalk hogs from tree to tree. The animal charged on all fours, killed a hog with blows, then carried it off while exchanging whooping calls with another unseen individual. It paused to stare at the witness before leaving. A hunting partner nearby heard the attack scream and whoops.

The witness was driving east toward Marshall at dusk when movement on the roadside caught attention. A very tall dark figure stepped onto the highway and crossed it in three strides before disappearing into brush. The witness stopped past the crossing, found a wide water trail across the road and noticed a strong dead-animal odor while feeling watched, then left.

The witness and a companion were playing darts and watching meteors from a relative's yard at night. A roughly five-foot-tall hairy biped jogged across the lit front yard, paused to look at them for a few seconds, then sprinted rapidly into darkness. While checking trot-lines at night from a rowboat, the witness and a companion had to carry the boat across a shallow gravel bed. They heard sharp cracking sounds and then something rushing toward them from the bank, breaking trees. In moonlight they saw a tall dark hairy figure with orange eyes and long arms approaching quickly, prompting them to flee by boat to camp and then leave the area by vehicle.

Two hunters reported seeing a tall upright creature burst from dense brush carrying a calf in its arms. The men left the area and later returned at dusk with two other men to find a dead calf with entrails removed and disturbed brush nearby. Dogs brought to the site reportedly would not leave the vehicle, and the group left.

A boy riding a bike home in the evening felt watched and saw a gorilla-like figure close behind him. The figure grabbed the bike, threw the rider over the handlebars, stared and flexed its lips to show teeth, then the rider fled and called authorities. Authorities later found the bike with a bent frame placed high in a tree with a small amount of blood on it.

A paramedic and his partner got a flat tire on a rural wooded road in East Texas in the early morning after dropping off a patient. While working on the tire they heard approaching bipedal footsteps and a loud scream, then a rock and a log were thrown at the ambulance. The witness saw a large hairy humanoid with red eyes standing nearby making threatening displays, then it struck the ambulance hard enough to rock it. They stayed inside while multiple creatures vocalized around them until a supervisor arrived about 45 minutes later.
