Hunter finds his deer kill moved near Monticello
The witness shot a doe behind the house at dusk and left it overnight to retrieve in the morning. The carcass was gone in the morning and was later found about 120 yards away along a tree line where branches were bent about six feet high. The deer had a broken neck and torn-open chest with most organs missing, unlike coyote damage familiar to the witness. The witness felt watched and eerie, left the kill, and has avoided the area after dark since.
Multiple incidents around river slough south of Belleville
Two companions were camping by a slough around 1 a.m. when loud whooping and moaning calls were heard from about 30 feet behind them and then repeated louder and closer. Their small dog cowered in the tent and stayed silent. They fled in their vehicle leaving gear behind, and the next day found the tent open, food missing, bedding disturbed, and a large unidentified footprint nearby.
Daytime sighting between Pocahontas and Imboden
The witness was in the yard when the dog barked at something on the ridge road about 200 yards away. The witness saw a bipedal creature stop, come downhill toward the yard, and break through an electric fence before looking around and walking quickly away over the hill. Later the witness returned with a parent to search but found no footprints because the ground was very dry.
