Property owner has daytime sighting, hears vocalizations for over two months north of Clayton
A couple scouting their wooded hillside property for a cabin site reported a brief daytime glimpse of a very tall figure that turned and ran, accompanied by whoops, movement sounds and a foul odor. That night both reported banging and stick impacts on their cabin lasting for hours. The next morning they reported finding large footprints and scattered sticks around the cabin.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. Deer in the area fled as the sounds got closer, and the witness left quickly. Cattle in a nearby pasture were later seen huddled far from the sounds.

The witness hiked a loop trail near Lake Cushman with three family members in late morning. The group heard a mournful 8-10 second howl/groan and about 30 minutes later encountered a strong skunk- and ammonia-like odor near a creek bridge on both sides of the trail. They also noticed unusual uprooted mushrooms along the trail. No creature was seen.

The witness and a young relative were on foot exploring an area of older reported sightings. They heard knocking sounds followed by loud screaming from two unseen sources in dense brush that seemed to move toward them. The witness hid hoping to photograph the sources, but noise caused the sounds to stop and move away. No creatures were seen, and a search found only flattened grass and broken branches.

Late at night the witness walked home alone along a familiar wooded trail and heard something moving parallel in the brush, breathing heavily. When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.

Two hunters parked before sunrise in fog to hunt heard whooping and tongue-clicking calls from the treeline and heard the caller circle them in the woods. A thud was heard and felt on the road and a boulder that had not been there when they drove in was found in the road. They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

Alone at a primitive mining camp on a warm spring day, the witness heard huge rocks splashing into the river with ground concussion, then wood breaking behind the trailer. Dogs stared down a trail as a large dark shadow crossed it in one step with heavy thumping footsteps. A partner later measured the crossing height at just over eight feet and found freshly twisted saplings and missing riverside boulders.

They agreed they had encountered a bigfoot and returned the next day to find broken limbs but no footprints.

After dark they smelled a strong stench and heard grunting, hooting and stomping that seemed to surround their tent, but saw nothing when checking with a flashlight. After hearing scream-like sounds earlier in the evening, the witness lay awake and watched a tall figure move behind a windbreak, squat to rummage through a pack, then stand and walk away. The witness woke the companion, who did not see the figure but both heard movement in the trees. In the morning the pack contents were scattered and only cookies were missing from their package.

A partner with a firearm went outside with a flashlight and saw nothing, while the witness heard heavy thumping footsteps like those heard earlier. Something struck the trailer hard enough to shake it and leave a large dent high on the curved aluminum.
