The witness was driving east on Highway 2 east of Ball Club late at night when she noticed a large brown hairy figure standing off the side of the road. The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.

In spring 2006 the witness was touring a large ranch in a converted school bus with county review staff. While the bus slowed for hogs, the witness looked across a flooded pasture and saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing on a small rise about 125 to 150 yards away. The figure was visible for a few seconds before vegetation blocked the view, turning its upper body toward the bus as it passed while apparently holding something in its arms.

Around noon the witness was driving after leaving home when movement caught attention. Less than a football field away the witness watched a tall brown hairy biped walking toward nearby water for about 10-13 seconds. The creature walked upright with large steps at a leisurely pace, glanced toward the witness without showing alarm, then continued on. Recent logging noise was noted nearby and a later visit to the area led to a revised taller height estimate.

The witness had been duck hunting and got his truck stuck in mud, then started walking to find help. While walking along a grid road in rain he saw a large broad-shouldered figure move very fast into a treed valley and disappear after a few strides. At the apparent crossing point he found a single large water-filled footprint. Earlier that day he had found seven dead birds packed under a crop swath a few hundred yards away.

After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. The witness was walking down a dirt road on company property in deep woods when he heard rustling in brush about thirty yards away and smelled a strong skunk-like odor. After stopping, shouting, and resuming walking to a gate and back, he heard quiet whooping vocalizations from behind that grew louder as he moved away. He did not see the source and first considered wild hogs before later considering something unidentified.

The witness and relatives were sleeping in a tent at an abandoned family homesite. In darkness the witness heard bipedal footsteps approach, contact and scratch the rain cover and disturb stakes, then heard a second set of footsteps nearby and distant rock-clicking sounds. After triggering a vehicle alarm, a branch broke as something walked away. In the morning the witness found a footprint-like mark, lifted stakes, and bent trees.

Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.

The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.

The witness's husband and another adult were sitting with boys camping in the woods on a moonlit night when the husband noticed a figure moving between trees, with moonlight visible between its legs. The group left the woods, and the next day the witness found footprints and poured a mold of one, plus other ground and vegetation signs. The investigator later reported the couple described a seven-foot-tall, wide-shouldered creature with a cone-shaped head and no neck.

The next morning the witness found slide marks in mud on the hillside but no clear footprints.

The witness was hunting alone before dawn when he heard slow, heavy bipedal footsteps approaching to within about 10 feet. He also heard deep, labored breathing from the unseen animal. The animal then appeared to trip and fall hard, scrambled up, and ran away with a long heavy stride. After daylight he found only scuffed ground where it had fallen and noted no other animals were present.

The witness reports a very loud simultaneous whistle, scream and growl coming from about 70 feet across the road from the cabin. The sound was heard by the witness and five other people and was described as unlike any known animal. An investigator later interviewed the witness and companions about the vocalization and noted inconclusive evidence in the area.
Man has an early morning sighting near Pleasant City
Early one summer morning the witness looked out a home window before work and noticed a very large black figure moving through crab-apple trees and brush behind the house. A second, smaller black figure then moved through the same area, shaking vegetation as it ran. The larger figure stopped in thick brush and stared toward the witness at the window for less than a minute before looking toward the dog kennel and walking uphill out of sight. Fruit the witness had discarded in the yard the night before was gone the next day.

Three women driving from Lake Quinault toward the coast in the afternoon saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal animal cross the highway in front of their pickup. The animal glanced toward them, continued across without hurrying, and disappeared into brush on the far side. The driver sped up to get a closer look but the animal had finished crossing by the time they passed.

A witness camping with two relatives heard repeated whoop sounds and felt watched during an early-evening hike, then ran back to camp. Overnight the group heard heavy slow footsteps outside the tent, and around 4 a.m. noticed a strong foul dirty-animal odor. By morning the tent and tarp were found marked with a strong urine-like smell, and the tarp was left behind.

On a sunny mid-July 2004 afternoon the witness went to sit on the back porch after the dogs barked then whined at the dog door. From about 200-300 yards away she watched a tall rust-colored hairy biped peeking around a tree and swaying to watch her for about six minutes, later stepping in front of the tree while staying hunched. After checking children in the front yard she found it gone, and later found flattened grass and knapweed at the tree.

On June 20, 2004 around 2 a.m., the witness was watching TV at home when she noticed a large dark shadow looking in through full-length windows facing the woods. The shape moved when she turned off the TV, and she remained in the recliner overnight. The next morning she found two very large hand-like prints on the glass that she judged to be non-human based on her fingerprint training.
