Close encounter with two witnesses near Kettle Moraine Oak Opening outside Palmyra
Two companions parked at night to shoot bottle rockets when the driver noticed movement across the road. A very large upright figure stepped onto the road and approached them, becoming visible in the truck's cargo light and moonlight. Frightened by its size and continued approach, they scrambled into the truck, reversed toward it, and fled at high speed.
12:40AM sighting by motorist one mile NE of Black River Falls
The witness was driving home from work late at night when she briefly saw a tall, dark figure on the opposite side of the highway near a guardrail. She described it as facing away and moving toward the ditch and forest, seeing it only for a moment at close range. A coworker who drove the same stretch about 15 minutes earlier reported a deer sprinting across the road in the same area.

The witness was driving south at night when an animal on all fours ran across the road from left to right, passing very close to the front of the car. The witness saw it only briefly and described it as hairy and brown with very thick hind legs. The companion in the passenger seat did not see the animal.
Motorist has early morning sighting outside Anitgo
The witness was driving on highway 47 in the morning when cresting a hill she saw a dark brown, wide-bodied human-like figure standing on the road shoulder. The figure was seen in profile and jumped off into the ditch and into the woods. A relative visited the described site about 45 minutes later and reported a landing mark in a snow bank, tracks along a deer trail, and a deer carcass missing its front legs.

While walking a ridge the witness noticed bent saplings and knocked on a tree, receiving clear wood-knock replies from a steep kettle below. A large living oak branch was then twisted toward the witness and ripped off, falling to the kettle bottom. Returning later with two companions, they found fresh twist damage and hand-like bark rubs with strong odor, then a young companion saw a light-colored bipedal figure and all heard a deep growl.
Deer carcass nabbed from pickup truck in Erin (Hwy 167 at Station Way)
The witness, a contractor who collects road-killed deer, stopped to load a fresh doe into his pickup in the early morning. While seated in the cab reaching for paperwork, he felt the truck shudder and saw in the rearview mirror a dark figure reaching into the truck bed. He drove away quickly, and when he returned minutes later the newly loaded deer and a loading ramp were gone.

The witness claims that while hiking alone in cedar swampland, a hair-covered creature followed and watched him for over an hour, moving only when he moved and mimicking his crouching actions. The witness says he observed it in partial views from shadows, including its eyes and part of its face from about 30 yards behind an uprooted tree. The creature eventually disappeared near a clear-cut area after the witness waited an hour without it reappearing.

A relative reportedly found a set of bipedal tracks in snow and followed them in both directions. The tracks are described as unusually deep with a very long average stride, leading from a swampy area through hardwood forest to within 20 yards of a cabin before being lost at a plowed road. Photographs with a yardstick and boot for scale were reportedly taken.
Hiker finds large footprints in Northern Highlands State Forest
The witness became lost while hiking west off Rux Road and spent about 12 hours traveling through forest and waist-deep swamp. Around midday in a bog near a wilderness lake he found four to five large human-like footprints with distinct toes in the mud. Later that day in dense brush he heard strange grunting sounds he could not see, then reached a dirt road and got a ride home.
