On a rainy afternoon a woman who was home alone heard two whoops from the tree line behind her house. She looked up and watched a tall, dark-haired figure step out of the trees, walk five long steps to the side while looking down, and step back into the forest. After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. The witness, staying at a house for a short time, was looking out a window in the early morning and saw a tall figure by the clothesline pole. The figure was described as about a foot taller than the 7-foot-8-inch pole, brown on top with gray speckled lower areas, moving hunched over and scratching its back, with a strong skunk and manure-like odor. After watching for several minutes, the witness saw it take two steps into the nearby woods.

The figure looked pale silvery-gray and shaggy, glanced over its shoulder, then leapt off the road down a steep embankment into brush. Next morning she found matted grass and a hole in the bramble where it left the road, but no clear tracks.

The witness and a relative were bow-hunting for turkey and had set decoys and a blind before stopping for lunch. The witness noticed a figure squatting at a trailhead across a field and alerted the relative. Afterwards they went to the spot and used the height of the grabbed branch to estimate the figure at about eight feet tall.

The witness was driving a water truck north of Fort McMurray and stopped for caribou crossing. Two bear-like animals approached and stood upright, revealing a tall brown female and a smaller black young male. A much larger male carrying a caribou appeared behind the truck, roared, charged, and struck the truck as the witness drove away, leaving a dent.

The witness reported walking back along a trail after making calls with no response when he found a very large footprint and a scat pile containing vegetation and shell fragments. Moments later he saw a very tall, heavily built, dark brownish creature about 70-80 feet away that had been digging at a ground hornet nest. The creature then ran rapidly down one ridge and up another at a speed the witness felt could not be matched, and disappeared. The witness then collected his things and left for his car.

After hearing growls on two prior nights, the witness went with his son on a Friday afternoon to explore the tree line, field, and creeks southeast of the house. During the outing they noticed movement, a foul odor of rotten eggs and flesh, and then watched a large hairy biped standing about 100 feet away swaying and staring toward them. They left without running and heard two loud tree knocks after reaching the yard.
