Four feral dogs chase sasquatch
On a clear night in August 1972, the 12-year-old witness was reading late in his bedroom when feral dogs chased something into his backyard. He heard heavy bipedal footfalls, a violent impact against the house corner and window, a grunt, and then a short deep growl directed at the dogs, followed by silence. The intruder then fled over a cedar fence as the dogs pursued, leaving a strong foul odor. Next morning the witness found a flattened flowerbed and trellis, a toppled lumber stack, and a tuft of hair of uncertain origin on the fence.

The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

The witness looked through the door window and described a large face peering in that then screamed and pushed away. Both went out the back and watched the figure step over a barbed-wire fence and run away hunched over with very long arms. A next-day search found no tracks, but they measured the door window at seven and a half feet above the ground.

Three elk hunters walking back toward camp heard a loud crash and chased what they assumed was a bull elk to the rim of a deep, steep-sided canyon. From across the canyon the reporter watched through a rifle scope as a tall, black-haired biped ran up the opposite slope on two feet and briefly turned to show its face in profile before entering the trees. The group chose not to pursue closely, later backtracked the trail toward the highway, and examined broken vegetation and footprints the following day.

On March 9, 1969, a group visiting a vacation property on Bear Creek found very large footprint-like depressions in deep snow. The tracks appeared to come from the campsite area and angle off toward the creek into trees, with a stride a tall adult could not match. The group left without further investigation, and the witness later notified the county sheriff, whose follow-up found additional tracks and produced casts.

The witness was driving a spray rig along an orchard boundary and scanning a neighboring field when a tall dark figure was seen walking about 100-150 yards away. The witness stopped the vehicle and watched from the hood as the figure moved with a smooth human-like stride into a walnut grove and did not reappear. A few days later the witness estimated the figure's height from a comparison tree and found no footprints on the hard soil.

The witness, deer hunting at dawn from a ground position below a relative, watched a tall hair-covered biped step into a fire lane, pause and look toward the witness after hearing the witness speak, then cross and wait in brush before leaving downhill. The witness later found large barefoot-like tracks and noticed a strong foul odor at the crossing site. The witness did not shoot and initially told no one.

As a young teenager bringing cows across a canal near dark, the diarist saw a large bear-like figure standing on hind feet by a sapling 600-700 feet away and felt intense chill. Cows were undisturbed and his father was unconcerned. Next morning with his friend [name withheld] he found a huge bare footprint in wet mud under the sapling, estimated 8.5-9 feet tall using [name withheld]'s height, and nearby found a stick-bed with a strong repulsive odor.

The witness reported finding very large footprint-like tracks in melting snow on a road south of Hope, B.C., with an unusually long stride. The snow had melted to gravel within the outlines, but the shape looked more like a footprint than a boot print. The witness returned home for a camera and yardstick to document track size and spacing and shared photos to ask whether they could be Bigfoot tracks.

Late at night the witness was driving a small pickup with a companion to get car parts before a store closed. Coming around a curve on a dirt road near an old strip-mine area, the headlights illuminated a large red-haired standing figure on the roadside. The driver braked and started to reverse, but after the companion urged him to keep going, he drove on without further observation.

On a winter evening around 10 p.m., the witness opened the door to let a dog out and heard an immense scream-howl from just north of the house. The sound felt like a physical impact and frightened the dog so it would not go outside. The witness's mother also heard the vocalization from inside the house.

After a newspaper story ran, a retired couple reported odd tracks in their backyard less than half a mile from where the first trackway was lost. The trail showed a 13-foot step, then several 6-foot steps, then 10-foot steps near a motion light, then sidestepping and side-by-side prints with a drag mark off a wall. The investigator measured and filmed them and could not find continuation in neighboring yards.

He recorded about five minutes as it looked at him and toward loud brush-tearing nearby, its eyes shifting color in the light. It later peeked from behind a tree about ten feet away before withdrawing. Next morning he found a track and a freshly split tree where it stood.

Driving home at night after a Fourth of July visit, the witness first saw a tall figure cross the highway and then pass within 8 to 12 feet as it pushed a branch aside under a vapor light. He braked hard, stalled, and left without approaching. Next day he and his sister-in-law measured the branch at 10 feet at the jaw and followed heel-drag scuffs and heel prints toward dark timber.

The caller says at age twelve after spending the day knocking and calling he turned to walk home, heard a twig snap, and saw a tall lanky black figure. It raised its hands in a waving motion mimicking him. They faced each other about ten seconds at about fifty yards before he backed away.

The researcher spent five days documenting a trackway in snow that would soon melt. He photographed and videotaped the prints and recorded step length, stride, width, length, depth and surrounding conditions. The work was presented as an example of thorough track documentation.

He watched a large black hairy biped walk effortlessly up a steep hill toward him, sniff the air and make eye contact for several seconds before walking away over the hill. After it left he heard a loud high-pitched scream in the distance, felt watched while leaving, and vomited once clear of the woods.
Man has interesting experiences outside of La Porte
During extended thesis fieldwork in remote mountain country, the witness found a set of human-like footprints in fine silt on a meander of Upper Slate Creek, noting dermal ridges, five even-length toes, a square shape and no instep, with a 20-inch stride noted in follow-up. Three pieces of mottled brown feces with a faint odor were found with the prints. No creature was seen and no other person was present for this find.
