Man has afternoon sighting and finds scat on his property near Flat River
In November 1997 the witness looked from an upstairs window and saw two gray upright figures at the woods edge about 100 yards behind the house. He watched for about ten seconds while they stood side by side swaying, then ran downstairs and outside but they were gone. A relative who was at the house did not see them, and a later search found no tracks or unusual odor.

The witness was driving toward the beach at dusk when a large hairy creature stood in the road. The car glanced the creature, then the witness stopped and the creature got up, approached, and chased the car, striking the rear. The witness drove away and later found a dented quarter panel with hair, a shattered spoiler, and a lingering foul smell on the car.
