The witness's grandmother, while on the porch, said she saw a thing walk across the pasture and step over a barbed wire fence without stopping. The next day the family found huge human-like but three-toed footprints crossing the fence and ditch to a dirt road, with long strides, including an imprint in soft rock. They also found coarse brown hair on the fence wire that smelled bad.

As a small child, the medicine man reportedly watched a very large Bigfoot scratch its back on a pine and walk away. He then collected hairs left on the tree. He later added hairs from nests to a ball used for medicine.
