The witness was driving with two companions when they saw a hair-covered figure move between tree groups across a meadow and later stand at the far end of the meadow. The witness got out and approached on foot to within about 30 yards before the figure turned and went into the trees. The witness then reported finding and measuring footprints in the area.
Bowhunter finds twisted trees, tracks, scat, & unusual sounds
The witness was bow-hunting in coastal second-growth forest on the morning of 9/1/01. He heard whooping and scream-like vocalizations followed by a large tree falling, plus heavy footsteps, and later found large ground impressions, broken limbs and tops, and animal hair high on a tree. An investigator later reviewed photos of broken and twisted trees and received frozen scat and hair samples for examination.

The witness was driving with a friend in daylight when both reportedly saw a dark figure dart past a telephone pole into the woods. The witness described it as all black with a long torso and very long arms swinging as it ran very fast and upright. They turned back to search the woods but found nothing there.

Logger has two encounters over three day period
The witness and a companion were surveying a property line early in the morning when they saw a creature standing beside a large bush near a drying bayou about eighty feet away. One of them shouted at it and it fled north. Tracks and hair found at the site were later documented by an investigator, with the hair analysis determining the hairs were bovine.

The witness was fishing downstream from family members when he briefly saw the lower legs of a dark figure stepping from the creek onto the bank and into dense brush. He searched the spot and found wet marks on rocks, disturbed soil, and dung, which companions helped videotape. He concluded the figure was unlikely to be human given the remote, rugged terrain.

Four relatives drove to the Mt. St. Helens area to look for Bigfoot in poor winter weather. From a viewpoint, a relative using a spotting scope watched a large dark upright figure move across a distant meadow and later return with a smaller figure first mistaken for a stump. The group searched the area without regaining visual contact. Shortly afterward at a nearby creek, the driver found a large bare footprint in mud and made a plaster cast of it.

Two bear hunters on foot found three sets of large footprints traveling together in a muddy flat back in the woods. The prints were in a low area filled with rain water and were judged to be fairly recent because the edges lacked degradation. The witness was driving west on a gravel road in the afternoon when a brownish-red creature crossed the road south to north a short distance ahead. The witness estimated it at 6-7 feet tall and over 300 pounds, moving very fast in a few steps with arms pumping and a hunched posture. The witness stopped at the crossing point but noted no odor and found no tracks due to hard ground.
Placerville track found and cast
The witness reports discovering several large footprints near a small stream northeast of Placerville, with broken branches nearby. Only one print was clear enough to photograph, and the witness returned the next day to make a plaster cast. The cast was shown to Fish and Game staff who dismissed it, and it has since been kept in storage.

About two decades ago a woman washing dishes at night saw a large hairy-faced man looking through the window above her sink. Police were called and during the subsequent search an officer saw a tall man-like figure run across a highway. Very large tracks with a long stride were found but dogs could not track anything and the figure vanished into river bottoms. A later visitor examined a cast and said weight distribution argued against a fake shoe.

While fishing at a beaver pond east of Gates, the witness found large four-toed tracks in mud that led into the water and looped back toward shore but could not be followed through brush. The next day the witness returned with a relative and plaster, confirmed the tracks were about 18 inches long and very deep, made a cast, and found a partially eaten beaver in the brush in the direction the tracks had headed. No creature was seen.

While fishing on a river near sundown in 1994, the witness saw an upright two-legged animal wading through shallow water and trees. The animal approached toward deeper water, then turned back to the shallows, watched the witness for a few minutes while tilting its head, and then wandered into the swamp without making a sound. The witness left by motorboat once it was out of sight.

The guest says he later examined another set of casts from about 55 miles away dating to 1993. He suggests it may represent the same adult individual as the 1987 set, described as 15-inch tracks about 6 inches wide.
Couple hear sounds and find footprints near Hoodsport
The witness and a companion heard loud brush movement and limb-breaking sounds at a secluded pond, then smelled a strong unpleasant odor and felt unease. A short time later about a mile away they found a series of five very large footprints in a dried boggy area. They later returned and made a plaster cast and took photos of the prints.
Family retells documenting a possible mile-long line of tracks north of Yankeetown
The witness's family discovered a long trail of large footprints on their hunting property on a winter weekend in 1991. They followed the trail for over a mile past creeks and cabins and through a barbed-wire fence, making plaster casts of a right and left print. They also reported finding a palm-frond bedding area and palms with hearts eaten nearby.

Around 1990 the witness was called to a friend's rural property after livestock losses and a hog attack. At the hog pen the witness and others found large human-like footprints in the dirt. Two companions were elk hunting on a hillside before sunrise. They heard extremely loud, piercing screams from across the canyon repeating several times. The sound rose from low to high pitch and seemed to silence other wildlife for the day. They did not recognize the source at the time and did not search for footprints.
Footprints discovered along a creek on a sand bar
A large footprint was reported on a small sandbar where something crossed a creek in a wooded area. A second partial print was also noted before the trackway returned to solid ground. The better print was cast and later viewed and photographed elsewhere, with four toes visible on the cast.
