Wildlife enthusiast records moaning howls near Bainbridge
The witness went to a remote forested area in south Georgia to listen to and record night wildlife sounds. They personally heard three wood knocks and two distant whoops, which two companions present did not perceive. A recorder left running overnight captured several distant howls.

As teenagers the witness and friends camped and hiked up a reputedly haunted mountain at night to look for a cabin. They were paralleled on both sides, heard whoops and powerful wood knocks and branches being ripped, then a large tree was pushed over close to them and they fled. The running camcorder captured the sounds and briefly illuminated two large almond-shaped red eyes that narrowed and turned away before the tree fell.
