Two smaller helicopters drove the animals while his crew photographed a female and a youngster from the air, recorded audio, then shot the youngster in the head and shot the female point-blank in the chest from a rope ladder. The female screamed and fled up the canyon with an unknown fate, while the youngster's body was bagged, netted under a helicopter and flown out. The officer said he kept the photos and cassette hidden and had told no one else.

After a spirit medium visited and the brothers commanded the beings away in prayer, activity at the house stopped, and related incidents included a vanishing woman, cloaking, and trail cameras failing when food was taken.
