Motorist spots juvenile sasquatch near Speedwell entrance to Franklin Parker Preserve
The witness was driving past a preserve entrance in the late afternoon and first mistook a large animal on the roadside for a groundhog. After passing, the witness turned around and saw a small fur-covered creature standing upright on two legs facing the vehicle. It looked at the witness for a second or two, then ran into a swampy area behind bushes and was gone on the next pass.
Possible intimidation in the Pine Barrens
The witness visited a pine forest site three times in the early morning. On the first visit he heard heavy footsteps retreating, smelled a skunk-like odor, and saw a rock thrown into water. On later visits he heard loud repeated calls and low moans, heard footsteps approach to within about 15 feet without seeing the source, had a large stick thrown near him, left food and recorded vocalizations, and noted indistinct footprints and large broken trees.
Possible Wood Knock Interaction at Wildcat Ridge near Rockaway
The witness and a companion were hiking toward a lookout in the early afternoon when they heard distant wood knocks from the east. The witness knocked back while the companion made an audio recording, noting louder nearby knocks and fainter distant single knocks. Just before the exchange they also heard a sound like a tree or large limb crashing to the ground.
Footsteps in New Jersey
The witness and his partner parked in a refuge at night and made vocal calls. Heavy footsteps approached the van and a dark figure was seen through reeds. After leaving and returning, whoop calls were exchanged. The partner declined to return after that.
