Rock throwing in Texas
The witness spent the night alone by a bridge cooking fish. Stones were repeatedly thrown from both sides of the road, with one leaving a mark on the vehicle. A loud smack on the metal bridge, a growl, and a large crash in the woods were also heard and recorded. The witness stayed all night talking aloud to cope and now avoids going alone.
Growl in Georgia
The witness walked down his driveway with his dog after a vague sound and said hello. Immediately a loud growl was captured on video and the dog went crazy. He said this was one of three similar close growls.
Rock throwing
On the team's first night at the historic property a rock was thrown and hit the witness's vehicle. They recorded grunting and other vocals. Earlier that day they had found circular pine beds and tracks.
Unidentified sound near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Two investigators made repeated nighttime visits to a closed metal bridge near another covered bridge. They reported loud knocks and bangs from under and around the bridge, unexplained lights in the woods and swamp, and being paced. They also described entering an intensely cold spot on the path where one felt drained, had to kneel, vomited while walking back, and felt sick the next day.
Object throwing in Ohio
After finding a platform of lodged trees over the ravine where a creature watched the dog, the witness urinated there to mark it. Reviewing that night's recording, he heard a pebble hit the house around 3 a.m., tapping on glass, then urinating on his deck, leaving a rank smell still on the dog box.
Growl near Isabella County
The witness visited a central Michigan farm property late at night to retrieve recorders. A powerful growl was felt in the chest from a distance, followed by two vocalizers calling back and forth while moving away. The exchange lasted many minutes and was partially recorded after the witness restarted equipment.
Footsteps near Hillsdale, Michigan
The witness volunteered as bait on a southern Michigan property while others monitored with microphones. Operators reported footsteps following the witness along a road. On other nights the group broadcast whale sounds and later recorded similar sounds unprompted, and daytime slapping on a garage was reported until cameras and lights were installed.
Unidentified sound in North Carolina
During a recent Friday night investigation along the river dividing the property, the group heard repeated loud booms like boulders striking and splashes as rocks hit the water in different spots. They ran toward each splash with lights and night vision, hearing water droplets hit nearby foliage, but did not see who threw the rocks.
Scream near Octavia, Oklahoma
The guest and his wife were staying at a leased cabin near Octavia and walking by a lake around sunset when they heard loud screaming or hollering from the river bottoms about a half-mile to a mile away. He recorded the sounds on a small Kodak camera, turning it on and off several times. Locals later told him there were no elk or moose in the area, only black bear and mountain lions.
Howl near Henderson, Nevada
About six months before the sightings, the father and the other son were on their driveway with a telescope when they heard very loud wailing or howling for about five minutes. It did not sound like local coyotes or dogs and could not be located by driving around. The sound was loud enough that others inside came out, and it was captured on a doorbell recording.
Eyeshine
The officer and a deputy drove slowly through the area of the prior bike incident using patrol lights. They observed about eight sets of eyeshine at heights above six feet and were then roared at.
Wood knock in Washington
The witness camped near Bumping Lake with his wife and did periodic rock clacks. They heard a single limb snap reply in the evening. His overnight recorder captured clacks, and the next morning he heard five rapid clacks from the recorder direction mimicking his five rapid clacks from the night before.
Tracks
Researchers visiting the property over about two years reported finding different-sized footprints, thermal-video figures that popped up and down in grass, rocks thrown while hiking, wood knocks and rock clacks, and a juvenile crouched in grass that one researcher approached. They interpret size differences as four individuals including two juveniles and two adults. They also collected casts, audio, and other trace evidence.
Whoop in Georgia
As teenagers the witness and friends camped and hiked up a reputedly haunted mountain at night to look for a cabin. They were paralleled on both sides, heard whoops and powerful wood knocks and branches being ripped, then a large tree was pushed over close to them and they fled. The running camcorder captured the sounds and briefly illuminated two large almond-shaped red eyes that narrowed and turned away before the tree fell.
Whistle near Paiute County
The witness and a companion were hunting in a remote hard-to-reach area and gave whoops. They received a loud distinct whistle reply and later heard tree knocks. A distant dog barking and two distant whoops were captured on a recorder.
Vocalization in Nebraska
While filming in Nebraska with three others making a hair trap, the guest felt an uncomfortable electrical-like energy in the woods. On editing he found a recorded voice he presents as Native American speech about shedding hair and grease, plus a distant hey-like yell heard at the time. He leaves interpretation to viewers but says it changed his view on non-natural aspects.
Sasquatch sighting in Oregon
At a rural house on the Oregon coast the household experienced repeated night howls, growls, talking-like sounds, dogs reacting, motion lights, a hand smudge, and large footprints in hard gravel. Young children repeatedly described dark hairy figures with flat noses and red eyes pawing or scratching at a bedroom window, motioning to come outside, and disappearing and reappearing.
Vocalization in North Carolina
While investigating a mausoleum, the witness and two companions recorded on separate devices. They captured a child's voice asking for its mother though no children were present. They later played it for the cemetery owners.
Footsteps
The guest was asleep in his tent with his dog when a proximity alarm woke him about 11:45. Something walked around the tent, handled items on his table, then pressed through the tent fabric behind his head and gently manipulated his head and face with a very large hand. He triggered his truck alarm lights, after which it moved off. The whole sequence lasted about nine minutes and was captured on an audio recorder.
Vocalization
BFRO investigators joined the guest at the camp the next weekend. After demonstrating the earlier routine, the group did calls around 10:15. A two-minute recording captured two individuals vocalizing back and forth, including singing-like exchanges before louder calls.
