Five teenagers camped overnight under a cliff overhang in the national forest. Around midnight they heard heavy bipedal footsteps approach and stop behind a large poplar tree below the camp. Two of them used flashlights to watch red eyeshine peeking from the tree, then the creature stepped fully into view for about ten seconds before retreating behind the tree and later leaving diagonally through the hollow making huffing sounds.

The witness returned to the same rock house about two weeks later and camped overnight. Around 1:30 a.m. the same heavy footsteps approached the same poplar tree, the creature peeked out a few times showing red eyeshine, then left without stepping fully out and without making much noise.
