Law enforcement officers find and follow fresh snow tracks 33 miles NE of Moline
After midnight an on-duty officer searching for a stolen snowmobile along a river heard loud crashing and heavy running in a treeline. He then found large human-like footprints in snow, with two larger sets and one smaller set, showing a long stride and signs of running. He and two deputies photographed the tracks and interpreted the trail as individuals scouting, pausing, and circling before leaving, then withdrew from the area.

The witness and spouse found two distinct sets of human-like bare footprints in snow near their home on a clear mid-morning. One set measured about 10 inches long and the other about 12 inches long, with clearly visible toes. Photos were taken and the spouse followed the prints for several hundred yards.

In late morning in November 2006 the witness was walking a dog with a companion on a farm with cornfield and pine grove. The witness looked up and saw an upright honey-brown figure standing sideways with its head down, banging large rocks together. The companion did not see it, and when the witness looked back the figure was gone. The witness became frightened and asked to turn back.

The witness, then a teenager, was playing with a companion on a relative's wooded property when the companion came running back in panic. The witness then saw a tall, bulky, dark-brown-furred figure standing about sixty feet away beyond a gate, poking the ground with a stick. After briefly watching, the witness fled to the house, and a later search of the area found no tracks or other sign.

The witness was home alone in the evening when the dogs became agitated and ran toward the pasture and river. The witness followed carrying a shotgun and observed a hairy humanlike figure near where the dogs stopped at the river edge. After a shot was fired into the air the figure departed with a distinctive walk and the witness returned quickly to the house. Large footprints were noted in the snow between the pasture and the river.

The witness was in a garage when the dog barked frantically and then hid in its doghouse. The witness then heard heavy running like a galloping horse and felt vibrations, and saw a large bulky humanoid with reddish-brown hair running through a cornfield. The figure glanced briefly, pushed through the corn with swinging arms, attempted to jump an irrigation ditch but fell short, then disappeared into brush.
