Young teen is chased by a seven foot tall hairy creature
The witness stopped while riding a motorcycle on family property at night and saw a tall hairy figure in a ditch that stood up. The figure chased the witness as he rode toward his house, continued approaching after two crashes, and left after a yard floodlight was turned on. Large humanlike footprints were found in the area the next day.

A family is shocked to see a large, hairy creature run across a forest road with a pack of dogs in pursuit
The witness was on a family drive with two relatives in Vinton County in the fall of 1986 or 1987 when a tall hair-covered biped ran across the road ahead of their vehicle while being chased by three to four dogs. The creature continued down a hill into pine forest while giving a very loud low-pitched howl that echoed. The occupants did not stop and drove on.
