At dusk while setting up a shelter near camp, the witness and a cousin felt watched and saw a very large bipedal silhouette about ten feet away. They reached for their rifles but the figure disappeared within moments. They first suspected a prank by an older relative, but he was at the campfire, and no tracks were found the next morning because the ground was nearly frozen.
