The witness was fishing from a kayak on a pond at dusk when a large splash occurred about 15 feet away toward the shore. No movement was heard and no creature was seen. The witness inferred a rock had been thrown because the pond lacked large enough fish and nothing floated to the surface, and believed a person could not easily have reached that dense shoreline after heavy rain.
