The closer witness looked and saw a very dark, massive, hair-covered form about 20-30 feet away. The creature turned from side view to face them, stepped toward them, then squatted down and stared, showing amber eyes and a hair-covered face.

About a half-mile away they watched a very large tan-brown human-shaped bipedal figure move swiftly toward a treeline, describing long arms held at the sides, a hunched-forward posture, and fast effortless strides.

The witness and four companions were pausing in a hay field during a target-practice outing when the witness spotted a large dark figure rising from a blackberry patch. The figure walked across a trail, paused by a fir tree and looked toward the group, then continued into an adjacent field. The group went to the spot, found flattened brush and a bent-grass trail, estimated the figure's height against the tree, took photos, and then heard knocking beats and hooting sounds after birds flushed and dogs barked in the distance.
Loud vocalizations sounds heard
During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

The witness was walking back from fishing with a dog on a dirt road through woods and Christmas tree farms when a large brown figure was seen moving through young trees. The figure crossed a gap and the road close to the witness, described as upright on two legs and covered in long hair, moving quickly and quietly. The dog stayed close with raised hair and whined, and the witness ran across the young trees rather than continuing on the road.
