Five people sleeping in an RV in a campground awoke when the dog barked and saw a large hairy figure about 10 feet away. The figure looked toward the RV then left with a human-like jog in long strides amid grunting sounds and a strong odor. The next morning the group found huge footprints outside.

Family sees massive ape just after daybreak near Grand Teton National Park
In June 1994, a family of four driving through Yellowstone shortly after dawn saw a tall, dark, hairy biped standing near water in a grassy field about 60 yards away. The figure, described as about seven feet tall and very massive, walked away like a man with a long stride and swinging arms. The witnesses watched until trees along the road blocked their view.
