A couple camping with their children woke around 3 a.m. to repeated loud, deep yells lasting several seconds each. About 10-15 minutes later they heard an extremely loud bang from a nearby hill that sounded like wood striking a large tree. Other campers nearby reacted with alarm and left early the next morning, while the host suggested sirens.

Hunting Partners Have Early Morning Roadway Sighting
Early one morning in 1972 or 1973 the witness rode with a relative toward a hunting area when headlights revealed an animal leaving an orchard and crossing the road on all fours. The animal turned its head toward the vehicle, showing teeth, then went into a ditch, stood upright and stepped over a fence before disappearing from view. The relative acknowledged an animal crossing but did not see the upright movement and later did not recall the event.
