Farmer cutting hay spots a human-like figure running near Tazewell
The witness was cutting hay by tractor on a family farm when he looked back to re-cut a missed strip and saw a tall dark human-shaped figure running away downhill into a narrow patch of woods. He watched it for a few seconds at about 100 yards as it headed toward thicker woods toward the mountains. He later compared its height to a tall relative and estimated it at about seven feet with very long strides.
Daylight sighting along levee in East Peoria
The witness was sitting in a vehicle near a levee on the east Peoria side of the river in the morning. A tan, hair-covered figure was seen running along the top of the levee about 100 yards away for 5 to 6 seconds. The figure moved very fast with bent legs in fluid motion, its head steady and down. The witness emphasized its remarkable speed.
Family hears vocalizations and finds footprints in their backyard east of Pekin
The witness's brother was sleeping in a tent in the yard and woke around 12:30 a.m. feeling uneasy after hearing something outside. He looked around the tent, saw nothing, and went inside the house to sleep on the couch. The next morning very large footprints were found right outside the tent in wet sand and were photographed.
Memory told of daytime encounter near Farmdale Park
As a child hunting in snowy woods along a creek, the witness came over a hill and watched a tall black hairy figure moving around a stick hut in a blackberry patch and picking berries. After the figure noticed the witness, it left very quickly. The witness then reported a multi-hour gap with no memory of leaving before arriving home.
