In August 1988 on a rural farm with woods and creeks, the witness and a relative stood outside after dark to listen for a strange sound. They heard loud cries alternating from woods on both sides of the road where two creeks met, suggesting two animals, while noticing a strong musty odor and unusual silence of normal night sounds. Neither saw anything, and a next-day search along the creek banks found no tracks. Days later they felt the cries matched a vocalization heard in a Sasquatch movie.
