Homeowners find fresh snow tracks of a possible adult and juvenile north of Forsyth
The witness and a companion were asleep at home when they were awakened around midnight by a thump on a storage box beneath the bedroom window and sensations described as footsteps. The next afternoon they found two lines of large human-like barefoot prints in fresh snow leading toward and past the window, merging into one line before crossing the road toward a treeline. The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. Photos and measurements were taken before melt and wind degraded the tracks.

The witness was driving south to work in the dark in the early morning when a bipedal creature crossed the two-lane highway between the witness's vehicle and a truck ahead. The creature took three to four steps to cross, stepped over a guardrail, and walked up a steep hill into brush on the right side of the road. The entire event lasted an estimated 15-30 seconds and the driver ahead did not appear to notice.

The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

The witness was driving west on a highway in Taney County, Missouri on a sunny afternoon when he noticed a large black biped standing by a large tree about 50 yards from the road. He described it as at least nine feet tall and very wide, with long thick fur and a conical head set tight to the shoulders, and was certain it was not a bear. He drove back the next day, saw nothing, and took the absence as confirmation the figure had been real.
Couple has early evening encounter at home near Forsyth
Late one summer evening in 1998, a couple lying in bed in their trailer heard repeated loud screams and their dogs became highly agitated. The husband went outside with a flashlight and saw red-orange eyeshine well above normal human face height, then a tall upright shadow running toward the southwest. No further screams occurred and the dogs stayed agitated for 10-15 minutes. The couple decided not to call emergency services.

Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.
