Horses, goats and other livestock were found dead, corrals and barn doors were torn, gardens were ripped down, and a gut pile was left on the grandfather's porch. The grandfather was once seen firing a rifle at a creature in his corral, and coordinated disturbances were reported at multiple homes in one night until the family moved away.

The guest described being a young child playing on the living room floor in the evening while both parents were in the same room. A hairy creature came to the window, slammed its hands on either side, and pressed its face to the glass. The father seized a muzzleloader and went outside, where he and the creature exchanged loud roars for about twenty minutes before it left.
