Dawn sighting at Stevens Brook outside Claremont
The witness was walking along a rural road past a marsh at dawn when noises like birds rustling came from the reeds. A light-brown creature that had been crouched in the reeds stood up and ran uphill toward the woods, pushing brush aside with its arms. The witness observed it for less than a minute, noting great height, broad shoulders, a coconut-shaped head, and very fast movement.

Deer hunter recalls possible early morning encounter near Boone Lake
The witness was deer hunting alone before dawn from a rock above a game trail. A figure approached uphill in a zigzag while making stepping sounds and low grunts and growls, then stopped a few feet away at eye level for about 20 seconds. After the witness coughed and waved, the figure turned and walked away bipedally out of sight and hearing.
