The witness awoke around 0035hrs on a clear night to an unfamiliar loud howl from the edge of the field, described as two about 5-second bursts separated by a short pause. The witness's sled dogs then erupted in howling. The witness looked out the window but saw nothing, and the next day searched for tracks but found none, noting three stripped beaver carcasses with skeletons stacked facing the same way.
