The guest describes a night walk with a large research team that crossed a creek and headed into thick brush before turning back. On the return, two team members scanned behind them with thermal and captured a large heat signature behind a tree plus a smaller signature nearby. The group interpreted it as a large female with a juvenile and discovered large footprints there the next day.
Sasquatch sighting near Carson, Washington (2026)
The witness was driving south on a forest highway around noon when she noticed dust, falling debris and a large boulder on the roadside below an embankment. She looked up to the top of the embankment and saw an upright, furry figure standing motionless above the slide, apparently with its back turned toward a jogger farther down the road. The viewing was very brief because of driving speed, and the face and height could not be determined.

The witness was sleeping in a tent at a remote campground when they awoke abruptly around 2 a.m. They heard several loud, low-pitched whoop-like grunts from a short distance behind the tent, apparently exchanged between two individuals. This was followed by several loud wood knocks that also seemed to be an exchange between two sources. After about an hour of silence the witness fell back asleep while companions remained asleep.

The witness was hiking alone and stopped for water when loud wood knocking lasting 10-15 seconds was heard. The witness made phone recordings that captured one loud knock plus fainter knocks believed to come from three locations. The witness continued hiking and returned later without further sightings or sounds, noting no other people were nearby due to winter closures.
Campers describe loud branch snap, howls, and possible track, northeast of Cougar
The witness and a relative camped overnight beside a creek after scouting the area for hunting. Around 10 p.m. a loud nearby branch break woke them, but a flashlight search revealed nothing. An hour later distant howls woke them again, with further responses heard after the witness howled back, and footsteps were later heard near the tent. Next morning a single large deep footprint was found near the tent and photographed.
Vocalizations near the summit of Silver Star Mountain
A couple hiked to the top of Silver Star Mountain and stopped to rest and eat. The witness heard a loud two-part whoop from a valley to the north, then heard it again about 15 minutes later and a companion also heard the second sound. They waited in silence without further sounds and then hiked back down without seeing the source.
Road crossing sighting 3mi north of Columbia Gorge, south of Willard
The witness was driving on Williard Road toward its junction in late afternoon when headlights revealed a large black figure in the roadway. The figure appeared to move on all fours across the road, then rose to two legs at the bank and walked into the woods, showing a tall build with a conical head, longer arms, bulky legs, and no clothing, snout, or bear-like ears. The witness first mistook it for a huge bear or multiple deer or elk before concluding it was a Sasquatch. A return visit to look for tracks found nothing after heavy rain.
"Ohio howls" heard by campers 7 miles west Trout Lake (the town)
The witness was camping with two companions at Peterson Prairie Campground. Around 2:30-3 a.m. all three were woken by a very loud, long drawn-out scream/howl that shifted from higher to lower pitch. The sound was described as very close and repeated three times.

Four campers spending the night near a creek reported hearing aggressive vocalizations described as a mix of whoops and screams, then seeing the silhouette of a very tall figure with a wide torso about fifteen feet away. They retreated to their truck before setting up camp, and later that night heard a deep whistle, crunching footsteps, pebbles hitting tents, and a branch breaking, along with a foul odor while a small dog growled. By morning a chair was found knocked over, but no tracks were located on the rocky ground.

The witness and a companion walked into a meadow off an old logging road mid-afternoon after the companion made calls. While scanning the treeline the witness saw a large, silent figure move quickly left to right through trees, noting a hand and long straggly hair, then a second broader flash before losing sight. They radioed camp, waited and watched, and saw a deer approach closely then bolt screaming toward the woods; a later search with others found nothing further that day.
Tracks near Skamania County (2013)
In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.

The witness and his wife arrived at their weekend cabin in the evening and noticed a strong musky skunk-like odor outside. About an hour later the witness was outside with the dog and heard three loud whoop-like calls from the woods east of the property. The witness was camped alone on the second night of a three-day backpacking trip in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. At about 2:30 a.m. he was awakened by three consecutive whooping yells followed by a loud three-second guttural scream from up the valley. He then heard very faint distant answering calls or howling. He stayed awake for a couple more hours and heard nothing further.

During a late-season muzzleloader elk hunt the witness and a companion found a large five-toed barefoot print in semi-frozen ground. That evening while glassing a prairie they heard a loud knock from about 150 yards away. The next morning they found three more large prints of the same size and shape in a sandy wash, spaced about 80 inches apart, with one beyond a log showing no break in stride.

While solo backpacking on the summit, the witness noticed a strange shape on the ridge across from him and photographed it. The shape then stood up and moved south away from the witness and down the hill out of sight. The witness struggled to move in waist-deep snow while the figure appeared to move easily, and the witness did not believe it was another backpacker or snowshoer.

Five people were camping near a river when they heard heavy, slow movement in nearby brush shortly after starting to cook. The brush noise was heard twice and stopped when approached. Later around 11 p.m. while sitting around the fire they heard brief distant screaming that they felt was not directed at them and may have been communication between distant animals.

The witness was driving late at night and stopped to turn around when the car stalled. While trying to restart it, the witness noticed a large man-like figure standing at the roadside beyond the headlights. When the car started, the figure turned and strode into the timber with striding legs and swinging arms, and the witness left immediately feeling terrified.
