Four campers spending the night near a creek reported hearing aggressive vocalizations described as a mix of whoops and screams, then seeing the silhouette of a very tall figure with a wide torso about fifteen feet away. They retreated to their truck before setting up camp, and later that night heard a deep whistle, crunching footsteps, pebbles hitting tents, and a branch breaking, along with a foul odor while a small dog growled. By morning a chair was found knocked over, but no tracks were located on the rocky ground.
Couple hear strange vocalization at their cabin near Carson
The witness and his wife arrived at their weekend cabin in the evening and noticed a strong musky skunk-like odor outside. About an hour later the witness was outside with the dog and heard three loud whoop-like calls from the woods east of the property. He brought the dog inside and waited with his wife but the calls did not repeat.

About 2 a.m., dozens of campers were awakened by loud prolonged screams from the woods east of the campground. Six campers entered the woods with flashlights toward the sound about 200-300 ft from the perimeter, smelled a foul odor and heard loud brush movement and wood cracking, then retreated. The screams lasted 20-25 minutes total, fading to the east with a similar sound from the south, followed by coyotes howling.

The witness was fishing near Goose Lake by Trout Lake and took shelter in his tent during a noon thunderstorm. He heard one loud, powerful vocalization estimated 50 to 100 yards away that echoed down the canyon and felt in his chest. After the rain stopped he smelled a wet-dog and urine-like odor for about an hour.

The witness went into brush beside a fairway to look for a lost golf ball on a sunny mid-morning. After noticing a strong rotten smell, the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure standing by a tree a short distance away. After a brief stare the witness glanced away and the figure walked quickly uphill away, and the witness ran back to the fairway without telling companions what was seen.
