Several sets of tracks found near Skookum Meadows
The witness spent the early morning driving back roads around Skookum Meadows to revisit prior sites and scout for future investigation. While traveling, the witness found a buttock-like skid mark with possible handprints and three large bare-foot-like impressions, plus additional large human-shaped tracks near a broken natural bee hive and behind roadside fir trees. From a viewpoint, a relative using a spotting scope watched a large dark upright figure move across a distant meadow and later return with a smaller figure first mistaken for a stump. The group searched the area without regaining visual contact. Shortly afterward at a nearby creek, the driver found a large bare footprint in mud and made a plaster cast of it.

On March 9, 1969, a group visiting a vacation property on Bear Creek found very large footprint-like depressions in deep snow. The tracks appeared to come from the campsite area and angle off toward the creek into trees, with a stride a tall adult could not match. The group left without further investigation, and the witness later notified the county sheriff, whose follow-up found additional tracks and produced casts.
