Neighboring Dogs Bark When Loud Vocalizations Heard
The witness reported hearing loud, piercing screams for about 22 minutes at night, starting with one screaming sound and later joined by a louder, longer second voice calling at regular intervals. Neighboring dogs barked in response to each scream and fell silent when the sounds stopped, after which the area became extremely quiet. The dog owners later said the dogs were petrified and refused to go outside.

The witness was sleeping alone on a rock ledge above a drainage when she heard loud repetitive whooping and howling from far below. The source moved rapidly uphill, climbed a steep cliff to the ledge, and ran past her toward the peak above, pausing briefly to look toward her. It then vocalized from the top of the peak until near sunrise, and she left the area at first light.

The witness and a relative were camping in a remote wooded area when the witness was awakened around 3 a.m. by noises around the truck, including an ice chest being knocked over and a violent impact that rocked the vehicle, followed by a loud piercing scream-like sound. The relative also woke, and in the morning they found the camp in disarray with a dozen eggs missing, the empty carton later found away from camp, and a dent in the truck. No creature was seen and no tracks were found, and the pair stayed up until morning before leaving.

A family camping in a primitive riverside area heard an extremely loud, shrill scream from near their trash area about 50 yards away after paper bags flared up the campfire. The sound moved rapidly downriver for several minutes, fading to a deep growl, while the adult dogs whimpered and the family became terrified. The father packed up camp that night and drove the family home, and the family later felt the sound matched a purported Sasquatch vocalization heard on television.
