The witness was hunting raccoons at night with hounds alongside a relative in marshy woods. After the dogs treed and the chased animal left the tree, the witness moved to a ridge to listen, noticed eyeshine, then saw a tall hair-covered animal about twenty feet away on the trail. The two looked at each other briefly, the witness does not recall how it departed, and a foul smell followed back toward the truck. The next morning the witness recovered the hounds still treed with a bobcat.

The witness and his sister were walking a loop road by a lake back to a cabin on a moonless night. The sister sensed something following them behind the treeline, and both paused to listen to movement. As they left the woods they heard a loud grunt about 20 feet behind them that frightened them and seemed territorial.
Partridge hunter has a daylight sighting while driving from Germfask
The witness was driving to work along a gravel river road in the early afternoon, hunting partridge along the way. About 30 to 40 yards ahead, the witness saw a tall, thin, dark-haired figure emerge from pines, pause to look toward the vehicle, then turn and run parallel to the road. Frightened, the witness reversed, loaded a shotgun, waited for another vehicle, then followed it past the area without finding sign.
Young ape-like creature seen squatting on a tree limb near Shingleton
While driving slowly on a sandy forest road to find a fishing spot, the witness and a young passenger saw a small ape-like animal sitting on a tree limb off the road. The animal was described as hairy with a paler face and was watching the road and making eye contact. The driver continued past, turned around a short distance later, and returned to find the animal gone, while a third occupant of the vehicle had not seen it.

The witness stopped to nap in her parked car with her infant son at a rustic picnic area at night. She awoke to a horrible smell and saw a dark-haired bipedal creature 3-4 feet away, leaning over the hood and staring through the windshield. After a few minutes of it staring, she started the car, reversed, and drove away east.

In winter 1977-1978 the witness and a companion were driving east on M-28 near Seney around 1:30 a.m. They saw a figure crossing the road ahead, backlit by headlights from beyond a knoll. The figure moved hunched over, then stood upright in the middle of the road showing broad manlike shoulders, arms, torso and a defined head before slouching and continuing across. They slowed near the spot and looked for tracks but spent little time searching due to cold and unease.
Man recalls multi-witness sighting in teen years near Manistique
Six youths walking along railroad tracks heard a loud guttural sound behind them and turned to see a tall hair-covered figure. The figure walked steadily across the tracks and down into swampy woods about 110 feet away without stopping. The group later went to where it entered the woods, noticed a strong rotten odor but found no tracks.

In June 2007 the witness and a companion visited a small lake in Schoolcraft County to fish and look around. At the spot where sand met grass the companion called the witness over to a very large human-shaped footprint. The witness stepped into the print and found it fit but was much bigger.
