Daylight sighting by two turkey hunters in Gifford Point WMA, four miles south of Omaha
The witness and a relative were bow-hunting for turkey and had set decoys and a blind before stopping for lunch. The witness noticed a figure squatting at a trailhead across a field and alerted the relative. Both watched it stand, turn, and walk away into the woods down a slope toward the river, grabbing an overhead branch as it left. Afterwards they went to the spot and used the height of the grabbed branch to estimate the figure at about eight feet tall.

On the third night of a three-day series, the witness walked home across a field after dark and heard footsteps converging to intercept him, smelled a strong foul odor, and sensed something pass very close unseen. From his illuminated backyard he then saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing by a clothesline pole about 40-50 feet away, staring at him for about 20 seconds before he ran inside.
