Bigfoot crosses SR-72 directly in front a vehicle west of Arcadia and just outside Myakka River State Park
The witness was driving east on Hwy 72 toward Arcadia at night when she first noticed what she thought was a deer to the right of the road. A large bipedal figure then ran across the road in front of her car, forcing her to brake hard, and disappeared into scrub on the far side. She stopped past the crossing point, got out of the car, heard nothing but smelled a musky odor, and called her children.
Husband and wife hear early morning vocalizations near back of Myakka State Park
The witness and his wife were awakened around 2 a.m. by sounds outside their bedroom window and a very strong odor coming through the window. An unseen source then produced a loud, wild, almost human-like shriek. Their two dogs, normally fearless, refused to leave the room, and the couple did not go outside. The witness inferred whatever was at the window must have been at least seven feet tall to reach it.

Two brothers were fishing from a john boat when they noticed a tall, reddish-brown hairy figure at the edge of the palmettos crouched and drinking water from its hands. The figure stared at them without making any sound and then left quietly. The witnesses reported a musky odor, fled to shore, and never returned to the pond.
