Daytime sighting by a motorist on FL-19 in the Ocala National Forest
The witness was driving on Highway 19 through the Ocala National Forest in the morning when she noticed a tall hair-covered biped in a partially cleared area beside the road. The creature was described as about seven feet tall with broad shoulders and dark hair, watching her from at or partly behind a tree. After several seconds of eye contact it stepped behind the tree out of view.

The witness sat on the front porch steps in the evening and saw a tall hairy figure standing in the woods near the chicken coop, which then ran away. After it left, knocking sounds were heard from the woods. Shortly before, a relative had been growled at near the coop and had retrieved a firearm.
