The witness stopped and watched it disappear and saw nothing else for the rest of the trip. Later, while parked at the ridge top, the witness heard wood knocks estimated to be about a mile away.

The witness was driving home at night on a dark rural road with high beams on when they saw a large hairy creature about 400 feet ahead. The creature strode across the road in a few strides, then stopped mid-stride and looked back toward the witness before moving off to the side. The witness estimated it was very tall and thick-chested with long arms and light brown/tan hair.

Late at night on a highway near Packwood, Washington, the witness reported seeing a six-foot reddish-brown human-like animal standing in the middle of the road. The animal then moved away on two legs with a lumbering gait. The witness maintained it was not a deer, bear, or elk, and the incident was recorded on a park observation form two weeks later.

After midnight while driving west toward Elbe, the witness saw a large hairy figure cross the highway ahead and enter fir trees. As the car closed the distance, the figure stepped onto the grass and pushed a fir bough from its face, showing a gorilla-like ear. The witness braked and turned toward the trees but the car stalled and the adult passenger became upset, so the witness left and returned the next day to look for sign.

After stopping and getting out, they heard movement ahead in the woods, then a loud scream, and ran back to the truck while wailing continued behind them. They agreed they had encountered a bigfoot and returned the next day to find broken limbs but no footprints.

While riding bikes on a sunny day, the witness and a companion saw a large bipedal creature come out of wooded cover and cross the road ahead of them. The creature paused, turned to face them as they approached, then continued across and disappeared into thick cover. When the riders reached the crossing point they found nothing and rode home frightened.
