The witness was working alone at a gas compressor site around 2 a.m. when the headlamp caught reflective eyes in the woods beyond a fence. The source of the eyes stepped from behind a tree to the fence, then turned and walked bipedally into a creek bottom, prompting the witness to retreat to the truck and call the employer. Weak lighting prevented detailed observation, but the witness recalled a tall dark muscular form.
Hunter flushes large creature when retrieving rabbit near city of Mineral Wells
The witness was hunting rabbits near a small pond on the property and had just shot a rabbit. A large black hairy figure standing a short distance beyond the rabbit fled rapidly downhill through the woods, making loud noise. The witness retrieved the rabbit and returned to the house, avoiding the area for months.
While parking near Sunshine Lake, teens have late night encounter
The witness and a companion were sitting in a parked car at night near a creek when wildlife sounds stopped and bipedal footsteps approached. The witness attempted to drive away and briefly saw a broad-shouldered brownish-black animal moving on two legs into the creek. The pair left to get help and later returned with others.
