The witness stared at it for a long time and the spouse also saw it and became frightened. Tracks were later noticed in the area.

The witness had separated from companions while deer hunting and was resting near a small meadow in thick pinyon forest. A tall, dark, hair-covered bipedal figure emerged from the tree line, crossed along the edge of the meadow in daylight, and re-entered the trees without noticing the witness. The witness did not pursue, confront, or shoot at it.
