The witness was riding with companions on dirt roads near recently burned woods when she and the driver saw a white upright figure cross the road ahead. All three heard an extremely loud scream or roar, and two of them briefly saw the creature before it was gone. The witness described feeling paralyzed or hazy while the children fled to their van. Twisted trees were later noted on a nearby trail.
