The witness was outside behind home around 9 pm and heard heavy leaves crunching. The witness then saw a large hairy slouched figure standing under a security light watching, estimated at about nine to ten feet tall. The witness whistled several times, the figure turned to look and then walked with a long stride behind nearby trailers toward the woods.

In 2007 the witness led an armed group with spotlights to an area where relatives had heard screams. He shone a light across a field and saw a large dark hairy figure with outstretched arms run away in a split second. The group pursued into trees hearing walking and branches breaking but found nothing.

The witness and two companions sat on a raised platform in the woods at night while a coyote call imitating a wounded rabbit was blown for about half an hour. They then heard something circling the platform in dense underbrush with loud footsteps and deep grunting while the surrounding woods went silent. They could not see the source at the edge of the flashlight beam and eventually climbed down and ran to a nearby house.
